WASHING MACHINEThe first electric washing machine appeared in 1901, thanks to Alva Fisher, using a motor spun a drum including water and soap. The use of the machine became popular when electricity became a commonly used service.

Alva John Fischer(1862, 1947) American engineer. He was the inventor of the mechanical washer, which he patented in 1910 and refined by a clever gearbox that periodically reversed direction of rotation, the forerunner of subsequent programmable washing machines. The patented Aug. 9, 1910

INFLUENCE OF THE WASHERThe washer began a very shy popularization in the United States and in the 20's, but until the late 40's or early 50's is not an article for the masses. In the developed Western Europe, the extension of the machine occurs mainly after the Second World War and the early 60's became a daily device. Major European industrial companies started to produce huge amounts of washing machines, sometimes even washing machines make their main source of prestige and income (Kelvinator, Zanussi). In Spain, the washers are imposed at the rate of its emerging middle class during the 60's. In an article 70 was already widespread. In Eastern Europe the production of washing machines was small and often formulas adopted community. The shortage of space in modern homes, and the high cost of equipment and water, resulted in many European countries.Evolution, both aesthetically and functionally, washing machine, has been very important, especially in recent years, with the application of microelectronics. On aesthetics, electrical panels, widespread in the 80's, have now given way to modern forms, to curved designs and stylized, and many varieties of color.Technically, and thanks to microelectronics, current models leave some dry clothes and clean and even add time controllers, sensors that monitor speed and temperature algorithms relocation of clothing to prevent excessive vibration during spin
